The Indian Naval Academy mandates a degree in engineering or its equivalent, while the Air Force Academy requires candidates to have a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level or its equivalent qualification.

Candidates interested in applying for these positions should also note the age limit set by UPSC. The minimum age requirement is 20 years, while the maximum age limit is 24 years. Candidates falling within this age range are eligible to apply for the CDS II posts.

Selected candidates will receive a competitive pay scale ranging from Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/-.
